PROJECT: Getting to know the camera

I'm currently using a Sony nex-5 interchangeable-lens system camera which was a gift from my girlfriend and a step up from the old cybershot that served me well for many years, although I consider this a stop gap before investing in a Canon DSLR.
The Sony Nex - 5 came with 18-55mm f/3.5-6.3 and 16mm f/2.8 lenses. I hope to buy a long range lens in the near future.
I'm just getting familiar with it now, it still can be quite fiddly to use at times with its many menus and using the wheel to contol everything but at the moment i'm really enjoying using it.

It was a good thing reading through the manual again as I had'nt read it properly before, when I first got it I went for a hands on approach of learning to use it instead. I learnt a few things about it that I had not known before but more importantly I feel more confident in my ability to use it correctly.
